Comfortable apartment living or vacation rental in Antigua Guatemala
Casa Rustica Apartments: We offer vacation rental apartments in 2 different locations. The first are just a few blocks (8 minute walk) north of the Antigua's beautiful central park, & 1 block north of the famous La Merced Church.
There are 8 apartments in a large house with 3 nice gardens & lots of open common areas. There is also a small wildlife sanctuary in the large rear garden with rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, turtles & many different types of birds.
There are 3 large apartments on the 2nd floor & 5 small apartments on the 1st floor. Because of the low price & central location, these stay very full & normally come available only when someone moves out. However, we do take reservations and if we are full, we can keep your name on a list and will email you as soon as one comes available. All of these are 1 bedroom, with a bathroom, small living area, kitchen & are completely furnished. At this location, we do not accept kids or pets.
The prices range from $250 to $725, depending on which apartment. A $200 deposit is required and this will be returned to you, after you turn the apartment back over to us in good condition. The price includes all utilities, cable TV & Wi-Fi. There is a common laundry for all apartments. The property is very quiet. There are many sitting areas throughout the corridors & gardens, where it is nice & peaceful to just watch the animals moving about or to relax while reading a good book.
Our other apartments are a little further from the town center. They are about a 15 minute walk from Antigua's central park. They will be available August 2014. They range from $450 to $750, depending on which apartment. A $200 deposit is required and this will be returned to you, after you turn the apartment back over to us in good condition. All these apartments are larger with either 1 or 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen / dining area & living area. They are in a very nice & secure gated community. There is a common laundry & a common 3rd level terrace with great views. The price includes all utilities, cable TV & Wi-Fi. There are apartments on the 1st & 2nd floors. At this location, we accept well behaved kids & pets, with an extra fee. In the near future, we will have photos of these.
Because of the climate, you can also enjoy the indoor & outdoor areas, all year around. Antigua Guatemala is truly a walking persons heaven. After you get accustomed to our beautiful cobblestone streets, you will be walking everywhere. You can walk basically anywhere in Antigua within a few minutes. There are so many restaurants, shops, museums and outdoor activities. Many years ago, I read on the internet that Antigua Guatemala had more restaurants per capita, than any other city in the world.
